I was a member of this church since early childhood and got married there in 1967. Rev. Jacob Gamble was the Pastor at that time.
I was also a member as a child and accepted Christ as my personal savior in 1966. I was 7 and soon after requested to be baptized. Reverend Gamble scheduled a meeting with me, asked me about my experience, and gave me a copy of a Rainbow Bible a children’s presentation that included illustrations of the content.
It was there that I not only memorized scripture but hymns in the Baptist Hymnal by number. Oh Come All Ye Faithful #77; Joy to the World #65.
I have many fond memories of that time in my life.
Hello Guy, Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave your comment. So happy the post evoked such fond memories for you.
My Best Regards,
Jeanne
